Petromyzon (the lamprey) is an ectoparasite on fishes. It attaches to the fish with its suctorial buccal funnel, rasps the skin with its horny teeth and sucks the blood and body fluids of the host.पेट्रोमाइज़ॉन (लैम्प्रे) मछलियों पर बाह्य परजीवी है। यह अपने चूषक मुख-कीप से मछली से चिपकता है, सींगदार दाँतों से त्वचा को खुरचता है और पोषी का रक्त तथा शरीर द्रव चूसता है।
