About the CTET exam and these papers

CTET is the Central Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by CBSE for teachers of Class 1-5 (Paper 1, Primary Stage) and Class 6-8 (Paper 2, Elementary Stage) in central government schools such as KVS and NVS, and accepted by many states and private schools. Each paper has 150 multiple-choice questions in 150 minutes with no negative marking; the certificate is valid for life.

This page has the official CTET question papers from recent sessions: Paper 1 and both Paper 2 options (Mathematics & Science, Social Studies), typed from the CBSE booklets and keyed from the official final answer key, with an explanation for every question. Child Development & Pedagogy, Mathematics, EVS, Science and Social Studies questions are available in English and Hindi; Language I (English) and Language II (Hindi) are in their own language, as in the real paper.

Attempt each session as a timed online test to practise finishing 150 questions in 150 minutes, or read the questions with answers section by section. The pedagogy questions repeat across sessions far more than students expect, so solving three or four previous papers is the fastest way to raise your CTET score.
