Textbooks of EVS should reflect the recommendation of NCF 2005 of linking students’ life at school to their life outside. This implies :ईवीएस की पाठ्यपुस्तकों को विद्यार्थी स्कूल के जीवन को उनके बाहर के जीवन से जोड़ने की एनसीएफ, 2005 की सिफारिश को प्रतिबिंबित करना चाहिए। इसका अर्थ है :

1. AStudents are compelled to memorise few important concepts of EVS.विद्यार्थी EVS के महत्त्वपूर्ण अवधारणाओं को याद करने के लिए बाध्य हैं।
2. BTextbook is the only source of knowledge.पाठ्यपुस्तक ज्ञान का एकमात्र स्रोत है।
3. CTextbooks supports students to construct knowledge through all the given activities.पाठ्यपुस्तकें विद्यार्थियों को उनके आसपास के सभी स्रोतों के माध्यम से ज्ञान का निर्माण करने में सहायता करती हैं।
4. DTeachers need to use textbooks as one of the teaching learning resource.शिक्षकों को पाठ्यपुस्तकों को शिक्षण-अधिगम संसाधनों में एक संसाधन के रूप में उपयोग करने की आवश्यकता है।
