About the CIL MT exam and these papers
Coal India Limited, the Maharatna coal PSU, recruits Management Trainees through its own computer-based test. The Systems (Computer Science) paper has 200 questions in 180 minutes with no negative marking: General Knowledge and Awareness, Numerical Ability, Reasoning and General English (25 each) and 100 questions of Professional Knowledge.
This page has the official CIL MT Systems question papers of 2017, 2020 and 2026 (CBT-26) with the official answer keys, as free timed online tests and as questions-with-answers pages. In the 2026 paper the General Knowledge, Numerical Ability and Reasoning questions were asked in Hindi, as in the exam, and the rest in English.
The Professional Knowledge part covers the whole BTech syllabus the way a PSU asks it: data structures and algorithms, DBMS, operating systems, computer networks, theory of computation, compilers, digital logic and C programming. Attempt each paper under the real time limit, then practise topic-wise.
